The Editors:
The idyllic Provencal setting and the magnificent Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine were host to the Luxembourg Grand Ducal Family and royals from around Europe for the nuptials of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa’s second son.
If the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is amongst the smallest of European states, with the wedding of Prince Félix and his German sweetheart Claire Lademacher it took centre stage for romance. The young couple are as accomplished as they are charming and won over their Provencal hosts, amongst whom they plan to set up home and, in the best French tradition, manage a winery.
Across the other side of the world the Prince of Wales’ second son was making royal history with his first ever official trip to Australia. Prince Harry’s representing Her Majesty The Queen at the 2013 International Fleet Review was a further illustration of the roles both Harry and his elder brother will increasingly be called upon to play.
As effervescent as he is, the still single Harry does look a little forlorn at times. As his official role grows it seems ever more appropriate that he takes a bride and starts a family, something which Harry has made clear he is keen to do.
There is a likely candidate in his current girlfriend Cressida Bonas and increasing speculation of an announcement. But there must still be some doubt as to whether the twenty-four year-old feels ready for the daunting prospect of becoming a royal bride.
