Charlotte’s 2nd birthday
A photograph of Princess Charlotte has been released by Kensington Palace to mark her second birthday. The picture, taken in April by the Duchess of Cambridge, shows Charlotte at the family home, Anmer Hall, Norfolk. William and Kate released a similar photograph of Charlotte last year to celebrate her first birthday. The official statement said: “The Duke and Duchess are very pleased to share this photograph as they celebrate Princess Charlotte’s second birthday. TRH would like to thank everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received.” At just two Charlotte looks very thoughtful. Kate describes her daughter as “very cute but she has got quite a feisty side.”

Charlotte’s resemblance to her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in her childhood years has been remarked upon, but the latest photo shows she has inherited her mother’s lustrous dark hair and what Kate calls the “dark Middleton eyes.” Charlotte’s primrose yellow cardigan is from John Lewis, whilst the floral blouse is from JoJo Maman Bebe.
