This is an aspect of their royal duties at which they are generally seen to excel: managing jam-packed schedules and high stakes engagements with ease. However, on this occasion the couple’s ability to handle a charm offensive was not enough to offset the controversy surrounding the trip . . .

The Earl and Countess of Wessex’s tour of the Caribbean continued the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. As it had been for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s tour, there was a warm welcome from many, but also further demonstrations calling for the British government to give an official apology and reparations for historic slavery in the former colonies.

The Duke of Cambridge, in his role as patron, attended the London Air Ambulance Charity Gala. Through his experiences working for the East Anglian Air Ambulance service, William appreciates the impact of rapid response treatment for the most critically ill patients. The gala was the charity’s most successful to date, raising £944,000, the equivalent of over 400 potentially life-saving missions.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Princess Royal combined their efforts to visit two maternal healthcare organisations in London: the Royal College of Midwives,  and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. The highly popular royal ladies were dubbed the new ‘dream team’ – both Anne and Kate are known for their dedication and professionalism in their work as patrons. For the visit TRH heard about the ways in which the organisations are working together to improve maternal health care and met representatives from Tommy’s National Centre for Maternity Improvement.

Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece attended The Prince’s Trust 2022  Gala at Cipriani in New York City. This year’s host was singer-songwriter Lionel Richie, the evening raising funds  for The Prince’s Trust, which provides support and opportunities to vulnerable young people across the world. The trust was founded by the Prince of Wales in 1976 at a time of high unemployment and deprivation across the UK.

King Felipe & Queen Letizia welcome President Ruman Radev of Bulgaria

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain hosted President of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Rumen Radev and his wife, Desislava Radev, at Zarzuela Palace, Madrid. It was the first visit of a Bulgarian leader since 1999.
