The Marshal of the Realm is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Carl Philip and Miss Sofia Hellqvist.
– Sofia has today said yes to the question to spend the rest of her life together with me. Today is a very happy day for Sofia and I, says Prince Carl Philip.
The wedding date has not yet been decided but it is planned to take place during the summer of 2015.

The much anticipated announcement of the engagement of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his partner of four years Sofia Hellqvist was announced by the Swedish royal court. The couple also held a press conference in the Palace garden during which a beaming Carl Philip said: “I have the incredible honour of being engaged to this fantastic girl,” to which Sofia added: “Carl Philip is the most humble person I have ever met, which is what made me fall for him in the beginning. He has one of the most beautiful hearts, he is very warm.”
