Welcoming Princess Amalia of Luxembourg
Prince Félix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg have announced the birth of their first child, born on 15 June 2014 at Maternité Grande‐Duchesse Charlotte in The Grand Duchy. The little Princess will be named Amalia, Gabriela, Maria Teresa. She weighed 2.950 kilograms and measured 50 cm. Prince Félix was at his wife’s side in the delivery room. Princess Claire and Amalia are both said to be doing well. Prince Félix (born on 3 June 1984) is the second son of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. He married Princess Claire (Claire Ladermacher) in September 2013.
